Abu ‘Abdur-Rahmān ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Islam is built on five: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, establishing prayer, giving Zakah, performing Hajj to the (Sacred) House, and fasting Ramadān."
Whoever abandons the ‘Asr prayer, his deeds will be rendered worthless
Buraydah ibn al-Hasīb (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Offer the ‘Asr prayer early, for the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever abandons the ‘Asr prayer, his deeds will be rendered worthless."

‘Abdullah ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Islam is built on five: testifying that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, establishing prayer, giving Zakah, performing Hajj to the (Sacred) House, and fasting Ramadān."
Whoever forgets a prayer should perform it as soon as he remembers it; there is no expiation for it except that
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever forgets a prayer should perform it as soon as he remembers it; there is no expiation for it except that: {and establish prayer to remember me.} [Surat Tā-ha: 14]"
What stands between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of the prayers
Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) say: "What stands between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of the prayers."
The covenant between us and them is prayer; so, whoever abandons it has disbelieved

It was mentioned before the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about a man who slept throughout the night until morning. He said, "That is a man in whose ears—or, he said, in whose ear—the devil urinated

Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them for (not offering) it when they are ten, and separate them (boys and girls) in beds
‘Amr ibn Shu‘ayb reported from his father on the authority of his grandfather that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Command your children to pray when they are seven years old, and beat them for (not offering) it when they are ten, and separate them (boys and girls) in beds."
I am Dimām ibn Tha‘labah, from the brothers of Banu Sa‘d ibn Bakr
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: While we were sitting with the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) in the mosque, a man came riding on a camel. He made his camel kneel in the mosque, tied its foreleg, and said: "Who amongst you is Muhammad?" At that time, the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting amongst us, leaning on his arm. We replied: "This white man reclining on his arm." The man then addressed him: "O son of ‘Abdul-Muttalib!" The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am here to answer you." The man said to the Prophet: "I want to ask you something and will be hard in questioning. So do not get angry." The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ask whatever you want." The man said: "I ask you by your Lord, and the Lord of those who came before you. Has Allah sent you as a messenger to all mankind?" The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "By Allah, yes." The man further said: "I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to offer five prayers in a day and night?" He replied: "By Allah, yes." The man further said: "I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to observe fasts during this month of the year?" He replied: "By Allah, yes." The man said: "I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to take this charity from our rich people and distribute it amongst our poor people?" The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "By Allah, yes." Thereupon, that man said: "I have believed in all that you have been sent with, and I have been sent by my people as a messenger. I am Dimām ibn Tha‘labah, from the brothers of Banu Sa‘d ibn Bakr."
نزلت هذه الآية: {حافظوا على الصلوات وصلاة العصر}، فقرأناها ما شاء الله
عن شقيق بن عقبة عن البراء بن عازب قال: نزلت هذه الآية: {حافظوا على الصلوات وصلاة العصر}، فقرأناها ما شاء الله، ثم نسخها الله، فنزلت: {حافظوا على الصلوات والصلاة الوسطى} [البقرة: 238]، فقال رجل كان جالسًا عند شقيق له: هي إذن صلاة العصر، فقال البراء: قد أخبرتك كيف نزلت، وكيف نسخها الله، والله أعلم.
الذي تفوته صلاة العصر كأنما وتر أهله وماله
عن عبد الله بن عمر أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «الذي تفوته صلاة العصر كأنما وُتِرَ أهله وماله».
إن أول ما يحاسب به العبد الصلاة
عن تميم الداري قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إن أول ما يحاسب به العبد الصلاة، فإن وَجَدَ صلاتَه كاملةً كُتبت له كاملةً، وإن كان فيها نقصان قال الله تعالى للملائكه: انظروا، هل لعبدي من تطوع؟ فأكملوا له ما نقص من فريضته، ثم الزكاة، ثم الأعمال على حسب ذلك".
Whoever performs our prayer, faces our Qiblah (direction of the Ka‘bah), and eats from our slaughtered animals—that is the Muslim who enjoys the protection (covenant) of Allah and His Messenger. So do not betray Allah by violating His protection
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever performs our prayer, faces our Qiblah (direction of the Ka‘bah), and eats from our slaughtered animals—that is the Muslim who enjoys the protection (covenant) of Allah and His Messenger. So do not betray Allah by violating His protection."
أحسنتم، يغبطهم أن صلوا الصلاة لوقتها.
عن المغيرة بن شعبة أنه غزا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم تبوك، قال المغيرة: فتبرَّز رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قِبَل الغائط، فحملتُ معه إِداوةً قبل صلاة الفجر، فلما رجع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إليَّ أخذتُ أُهريقُ على يديه من الإداوة، وغسل يديه ثلاث مرات ثم غسل وجهه، ثم ذهب يخرج جبته عن ذراعيه، فضاق كُمَّا جُبته فأدخل يديه في الجبة، حتى أخرج ذراعيه من أسفل الجبة، وغسل ذراعيه إلى المرفقين، ثم توضأ على خفيه، ثم أقبل، قال: المغيرة: فأقبلت معه حتى نجد الناس قد قدَّموا عبد الرحمن بن عوف فصلى لهم فأدرك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إحدى الركعتين فصلى مع الناس الركعة الآخرة، فلما سلم عبد الرحمن بن عوف قام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يُتِمُّ صلاتَه فأفزع ذلك المسلمين فأكثروا التسبيح، فلما قضى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلاتَه أقبل عليهم، ثم قال: «أحسنتم» أو قال: «قد أصبتم» يغبطهم أن صلوا الصلاة لوقتها.
من توضأ فأحسن وضوءه، ثم راح فوجد الناس قد صلوا، أعطاه الله عز وجل مثل أجر من صلاها
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "من توضأ فأحسن وضوءَه ثم راح فوجد الناس قد صلَّوا أعطاه الله عز وجل مثل أجر من صلاها وحضرها، لا ينقص ذلك من أجرهم شيئًا".
ما منعك أن تصلي؟ ألست برجل مسلم؟
عن مِحْجَن بن أبي محجن أنه كان في مجلسٍ مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فأُذِّنَ بالصلاة، فقام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم رجع ومحجن في مجلسه فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «ما منعك أن تصلي؟ ألستَ برجلٍ مسلمٍ؟» قال: بلى، ولكني كنت قد صليت في أهلي. فقال له رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «إذا جئت فصلِّ مع الناس وإن كنتَ قد صليتَ».
The prayer and what your right hands possess
Anas (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) reported: The main advice of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) when death approached him was: "The prayer and what your right hands possess, the prayer and what your right hands possess." The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) continued to repeat it until his chest was gurgling with it, and his tongue could barely utter it.
