Pray while standing; if you cannot, then while sitting; and if you cannot, then while lying on your side
‘Imrān ibn Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I was suffering from hemorrhoids (piles); so I asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about the prayer and he said: "Pray while standing; if you cannot, then while sitting; and if you cannot, then while lying on your side."
I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) praying while sitting cross-legged
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) praying while sitting cross-legged.
لو كنت مسبحًا لأتممت صلاتي
عن حفص بن عاصم بن عمر بن الخطاب قال: صحبت ابن عمر في طريق مكة، قال: فصلى لنا الظهر ركعتين، ثم أقبل وأقبلنا معه، حتى جاء رحله، وجلس وجلسنا معه، فحانت منه الْتِفَاتةٌ نحوَ حيثُ صلى، فرأى ناسًا قيامًا، فقال: ما يصنع هؤلاء؟ قلت: يسبحون. قال: لو كنت مسبِّحًا لأتممتُ صلاتي، يا ابن أخي إني صحبتُ رسولَ الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في السفر، فلم يزِدْ على ركعتين حتى قبضه الله، وصحبت أبا بكر، فلم يزد على ركعتين حتى قبضه الله، وصحبت عمر، فلم يزد على ركعتين حتى قبضه الله، ثم صحبت عثمان، فلم يزد على ركعتين حتى قبضه الله، وقد قال الله: {لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة} [الأحزاب: 21].
صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الظهر والعصر جميعًا بالمدينة
عن ابن عباس قال: صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الظهر والعصر جميعا بالمدينة، في غير خوف ولا سفر. وفي رواية: بالمدينة، في غير خوف ولا مطر.
I accompanied the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on his journeys, and he would not perform more than two Rak‘ahs. Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, and ‘Uthmān used to do the same

The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in his house during his illness
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in his house during his illness. He prayed while sitting and the people prayed behind him while standing. He pointed to them to sit down. When he had finished the prayer, he said: "Verily, the Imām is appointed in order to be followed. So when he bows, you should bow, and when he raises his head, you should do the same. And if he says: 'Allah hears the one who praises Him,' you should say: 'Our Lord, all praise is due to You.' And if the Imām prays while sitting, you all should pray while sitting as well."
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) combined the Maghrib and ‘Ishā' prayers (at Muzdalifah) with one Iqāmah. He did not offer any voluntary prayers in between or after either of them

Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) visited a sick person and saw him pray on a pillow. He took the pillow and threw it away. The man took it, again with the intention to pray on it, and the Messenger of Allah once again threw it away. He then said: "Pray on the ground if you are able to; and if not, then use gestures and make your prostration lower than your bowing."
فرض الله الصلاة حين فرضها ركعتين ركعتين
عن عائشة أم المؤمنين قالت: فرض الله الصلاة حين فرضها ركعتين ركعتين، في الحضر والسفر، فأقرت صلاة السفر، وزيد في صلاة الحضر.
أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى الظهر بالمدينة أربعا، وصلى العصر بذي الحليفة ركعتين

صدقة تصدق الله بها عليكم، فاقبلوا صدقته
عن يعلى بن أمية قال: قلت لعمر بن الخطاب: {ليس عليكم جناح أن تقصروا من الصلاة، إن خفتم أن يفتنكم الذين كفروا} فقد أمن الناس. فقال: عجبتُ مما عجبتَ منه، فسألت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ذلك، فقال «صدقة تصدق الله بها عليكم، فاقبلوا صدقته».
أقام النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم تسعة عشر يقصر
عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما قال: أقام النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم تسعة عشر يقصر، فنحن إذا سافرنا تسعة عشر قصرنا، وإن زدنا أتممنا.

عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ونحن معه بالمدينة الظهر أربعًا، والعصر بذي الحليفة ركعتين، ثم بات بها حتى أصبح، ثم ركب حتى استوت به على البيداء حمد الله وسبح وكبر، ثم أهل بحج وعمرة، وأهل الناس بهما، فلما قدمنا أمر الناس، فحلوا حتى كان يوم التروية أهلوا بالحج، قال: ونحر النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بدنات بيده قيامًا، وذبح رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالمدينة كبشين أملحين.
إن الجمعة عزمة وإني كرهت أن أحرجكم فتمشون في الطين والدَّحَض
قال ابن عباس لمؤذِّنه في يومٍ مَطيرٍ: إذا قلت أشهد أن محمدًا رسول الله، فلا تقل حي على الصلاة، قل: صلوا في بيوتكم. فكأن الناس استنكروا، قال: فعله من هو خير مني، إن الجمعة عزمة وإني كرهت أن أُحْرِجَكم، فتمشون في الطين والدَّحَض.
O Messenger of Allah, I could not offer the ‘Asr prayer till the sun had set. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Allah! I have not yet prayed it either. So we went to But-hān, and he performed ablution and so did we, and then he offered the ‘Asr prayer after the sun had set and then followed it with the Maghrib prayer
Jābir ibn ‘Abdullāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: ‘Umar ibn al-Khattāb came cursing the disbelievers of Quraysh after the sun had set on the Day of the Trench, and he said: "O Messenger of Allah, I could not offer the ‘Asr prayer till the sun had set." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Allah! I have not yet prayed it either." So we went to But-hān, and he performed ablution and so did we, and then he offered the ‘Asr prayer after the sun had set and then followed it with the Maghrib prayer.
إن اليدين تسجدان كما يسجد الوجه
عن ابن عمر رفعه قال: "إن اليدين تسجدان كما يسجد الوجه، فإذا وضع أحدكم وجهه فليضع يديه، وإذا رفعه فليرفعهما".

عن أم قيس بنت مِحْصن: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لما أَسَنَّ وحمل اللحم اتخذ عمودًا في مصلاه يعتمد عليه.
فرض الله الصلاة على لسان نبيكم صلى الله عليه وسلم في الحضر أربعًا، وفي السفر ركعتين، وفي الخوف ركعة
عن ابن عباس قال: فرض الله الصلاة على لسان نبيكم صلى الله عليه وسلم في الحضر أربعًا، وفي السفر ركعتين، وفي الخوف ركعة.
كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا خرج مسيرة ثلاثة أميال صلى ركعتين
عن شعبة عن يحيى بن يزيد الهنائي قال: سألت أنس بن مالك عن قصر الصلاة، فقال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا خرج مسيرة ثلاثة أميال، أو ثلاثة فراسخ -شعبة الشاك- صلى ركعتين.
خرجنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من المدينة إلى مكة فكان يصلي ركعتين ركعتين
عن أنس قال: خرجنا مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من المدينة إلى مكة فكان يصلي ركعتين ركعتين حتى رجعنا إلى المدينة، قلت: أقمتم بمكة شيئا؟ قال: أقمنا بها عشرًا.
صليتُ مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بمنى ركعتين
عن عبد الله بن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: صليتُ مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بمنى ركعتين، وأبي بكر، وعمر ومع عثمان صدرًا من إمارته ثم أتمها.
خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في غزوة تبوك
عن معاذ قال: خرجنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في غزوة تبوك، فكان يصلي الظهر والعصر جميعًا، والمغرب والعشاء جميعًا.
ما رأيتُ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى صلاة بغير ميقاتها، إلا صلاتين: جمع بين المغرب والعشاء، وصلى الفجر قبل ميقاتها
عن عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه قال: ما رأيتُ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صلى صلاة بغير ميقاتها، إلا صلاتين: جمع بين المغرب والعشاء، وصلى الفجر قبل ميقاتها.
