It is not a medicine, but an ailment
Wā'il al-Hadrami reported: Tāriq ibn Suwayd al-Ju‘fi asked the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) about alcohol. he forbade him from preparing it. He (Tāriq) said: “I only prepare it for medicinal reasons.” Whereupon the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “It is not medicine, but an ailment.”
لكل داءٍ دواءٌ، فإذا أصيب دواء الداء بَرَأَ بإذن الله عز وجل
عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «لِكُلِّ دَاءٍ دَوَاءٌ، فَإِذَا أُصِيبَ دَوَاءُ الدَّاءِ بَرَأَ بِإِذْنِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ».
تَدَاوَوْا، فإن الله عز وجل لم يضع داءً إلا وضع له دواءً غيرَ داءٍ واحدٍ الهرمُ
عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ شَرِيكٍ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابَهُ كَأَنَّمَا عَلَى رُؤُوسِهِمُ الطَّيْرُ، فَسَلَّمْتُ ثُمَّ قَعَدْتُ، فَجَاءَ الْأَعْرَابُ مِنْ هَهُنَا وَهَهُنَا، فَقَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَتَدَاوَى؟ فَقَالَ: «تَدَاوَوْا، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَمْ يَضَعْ دَاءً إِلَّا وَضَعَ لَهُ دَوَاءً غَيْرَ دَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ: الْهَرَمُ».
‘Abdur-Rahmān ibn ‘Awf and Az-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwām (may Allah be pleased with both of them) complained of lice to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him)
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: ‘Abdur-Rahmān ibn ‘Awf and Az-Zubayr ibn al-‘Awwām (may Allah be pleased with both of them) complained of lice to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) during one of the battles, and so he granted them a concession to wear a silk shirt, and I saw them wearing that.
أن طبيبًا سأل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن ضفدع يجعلها في دواء
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ رضِيَ اللهُ عنهُ أَنَّ طَبِيبًا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ ضِفْدَعٍ يَجْعَلُهَا فِي دَوَاءٍ، فَنَهَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ قَتْلِهَا.
لا بأس بالغنى لمن اتقى، والصحة لمن اتقى خير من الغنى، وطيب النفس من النعيم
عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمِّهِ، وَهُوَ يَسَارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي مَجْلِسٍ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ أَثَرُ مَاءٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُنَا: نَرَاكَ الْيَوْمَ طَيِّبَ النَّفْسِ. فَقَالَ: «أَجَلْ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ» ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ الْقَوْمُ فِي ذِكْرِ الْغِنَى، فَقَالَ: «لَا بَأْسَ بِالْغِنَى لِمَنْ اتَّقَى، وَالصِّحَّةُ لِمَنْ اتَّقَى خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْغِنَى، وَطِيبُ النَّفْسِ مِنْ النَّعِيمِ».
ما أنزل الله داءً إلا أنزل له شفاءً
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ دَاءً إِلَّا أَنْزَلَ لَهُ شِفَاءً».
The price of a dog is evil, the earning of a prostitute is evil and the earning of a cupper is evil
Rāfi‘ ibn Khadīj (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The price of a dog is evil, the earning of a prostitute is evil and the earning of a cupper is evil."
