We visited Khabbāb ibn al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was ill and he had been cauterized in seven places
Qays ibn Abi Hāzim reported: We visited Khabbāb ibn al-Aratt (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was ill and he had been cauterized in seven places. He said to us: "Our companions who died (during the lifetime of the Prophet) left (this world) without having their rewards reduced due to enjoying the pleasures of this life, but we have (so much) wealth that we find no way to spend it except on the ground. Had the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) not forbidden us to wish for death, I would have wished for it." When we visited him for a second time, he was building himself a wall, and he said: "A Muslim is rewarded (in the Hereafter) for whatever he spends, except for something he has spent on building."
Allah has spoken the truth, and your brother's abdomen has lied. Let him drink honey
Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "My brother has some abdominal trouble." The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Let him drink honey." The man came for the second time and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Let him drink honey." He came for the third time and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let him drink honey." When he came for the fourth time, he said: "I have done that", and the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah has spoken the truth, and your brother's abdomen has lied. Let him drink honey." So he made him drink honey and he was cured.
Fever is from the searing heat of Hell, so cool it off with water
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fever is from the searing heat of Hell, so cool it off with water."
مَن تَصبَّح سبع تمرات عجوة لم يضرَّه ذلك اليوم سمٌّ ولا سِحْرٌ
عَنْ سَعْدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ تَصَبَّحَ سَبْعَ تَمَرَاتٍ عَجْوَةً لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ ذَلِكَ اليَوْمَ سُمٌّ وَلاَ سِحْرٌ».
الشفاء في ثلاثة
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الشِّفَاءُ فِي ثَلاَثَةٍ: فِي شَرْطَةِ مِحْجَمٍ، أَوْ شَرْبَةِ عَسَلٍ، أَوْ كَيَّةٍ بِنَارٍ، وَأَنَا أَنْهَى أُمَّتِي عَنِ الكَيِّ».
إن أمثل ما تداويتم به الحجامةُ والقُسْطُ البحري
عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَجْرِ الحَجَّامِ، فَقَالَ: احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، حَجَمَهُ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ، وَأَعْطَاهُ صَاعَيْنِ مِنْ طَعَامٍ، وَكَلَّمَ مَوَالِيَهُ فَخَفَّفُوا عَنْهُ، وَقَالَ: «إِنَّ أَمْثَلَ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ الحِجَامَةُ، وَالقُسْطُ البَحْرِيُّ» وَقَالَ: «لاَ تُعَذِّبُوا صِبْيَانَكُمْ بِالْغَمْزِ مِنَ العُذْرَةِ، وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالقُسْطِ».
بعث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلى أبيِّ بن كعب طبيبًا، فقطع منه عرقًا، ثم كواه عليه
عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ طَبِيبًا، فَقَطَعَ مِنْهُ عِرْقًا، ثُمَّ كَوَاهُ عَلَيْهِ.
في الحبة السوداء شفاءٌ من كل داء إلا السَّامَ
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «فِي الحَبَّةِ السَّوْدَاءِ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ إِلَّا السَّامَ» قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: وَالسَّامُ المَوْتُ، وَالحَبَّةُ السَّوْدَاءُ: الشُّونِيزُ.
عليكم بهذا العود الهندي، فإن فيه سبعة أشفية
عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذَا العُودِ الهِنْدِيِّ، فَإِنَّ فِيهِ سَبْعَةَ أَشْفِيَةٍ: يُسْتَعَطُ بِهِ مِنَ العُذْرَةِ، وَيُلَدُّ بِهِ مِنْ ذَاتِ الجَنْبِ»، وَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِابْنٍ لِي لَمْ يَأْكُلِ الطَّعَامَ، فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَرَشَّ عَلَيْهِ.
الكمأةُ مِن المَنِّ وماؤها شفاء للعين
عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الكَمْأَةُ مِنَ المَنِّ، وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ».
العجوة من الجنة وفيها شفاء من السم،
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «العَجْوَةُ مِنَ الجَنَّةِ، وَفِيهَا شِفَاءٌ مِنَ السُّمِّ، وَالكَمْأَةُ مِنَ الْمَنِّ، وَمَاؤُهَا شِفَاءٌ لِلْعَيْنِ».
العين حقٌّ
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «الْعَيْنُ حَقٌّ، وَلَوْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ سَابَقَ الْقَدَرَ سَبَقَتْهُ الْعَيْنُ، وَإِذَا اسْتُغْسِلْتُمْ فَاغْسِلُوا».
يا علي، أَصِبْ من هذا فهو أنفع لك
عَنْ أُمِّ الْمُنْذِرِ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةِ قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَمَعَهُ عَلِيٌّ، وَعَلِيٌّ نَاقِهٌ، وَلَنَا دَوَالِي مُعَلَّقَةٌ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا، وَقَامَ عَلِيٌّ لِيَأْكُلَ، فَطَفِقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لِعَلِيٍّ: «مَهْ، إِنَّكَ نَاقِهٌ»، حَتَّى كَفَّ عَلِيٌّ، قَالَتْ: وَصَنَعْتُ شَعِيرًا وَسِلْقًا، فَجِئْتُ بِهِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَا عَلِيُّ، أَصِبْ مِنْ هَذَا، فَهُوَ أَنْفَعُ لَكَ».
شفاء عِرق النَّسَا أَلْيَةُ شاة أعرابية
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُول اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «شِفَاءُ عِرْقِ النَّسَا أَلْيَةُ شَاةٍ أَعْرَابِيَّةٍ، تُذَابُ ثُمَّ تُجَزَّأُ ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ، ثُمَّ يُشْرَبُ عَلَى الرِّيقِ، فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ جُزْءٌ».
Some people from ‘Ukl or ‘Uraynah came, and the climate of Madīnah did not suit them, so they became ill
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Some people from ‘Ukl or ‘Uraynah came, and the climate of Madīnah did not suit them, so they became ill. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) ordered them with the milch camels and drink from their urine and milk. They left, and when they recovered, they killed the herdsman of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) and drove off the camels. The news came early in the day, so he sent people in pursuit of them. When the sun had risen, they were brought back. He ordered that their hands and feet be cut off and their eyes be branded, and they were thrown into Al-Harrah, where they begged for water but were not given any. Abu Qilābah said: They stole, killed, disbelieved after embracing faith, and waged war against Allah and his Messenger.
O Banu Bayādah, marry off (your daughters) to Abu Hind, and ask him to marry off (his daughters) to you
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Abu Hind performed cupping for the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in the middle of his head. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) then said: "O Banu Bayādah, marry off (your daughters) to Abu Hind, and ask him to marry off (his daughters) to you.' He added: 'If there is benefit in anything that you use for treatment, then it is cupping.'"
التلبينة مَجمَّةٌ لفؤاد المريض، تذهب ببعض الحزن
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ إِذَا مَاتَ المَيِّتُ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا، فَاجْتَمَعَ لِذَلِكَ النِّسَاءُ، ثُمَّ تَفَرَّقْنَ إِلَّا أَهْلَهَا وَخَاصَّتَهَا، أَمَرَتْ بِبُرْمَةٍ مِنْ تَلْبِينَةٍ فَطُبِخَتْ، ثُمَّ صُنِعَ ثَرِيدٌ فَصُبَّتِ التَّلْبِينَةُ عَلَيْهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: كُلْنَ مِنْهَا، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «التَّلْبِينَةُ مُجِمَّةٌ لِفُؤَادِ المَرِيضِ، تَذْهَبُ بِبَعْضِ الحُزْنِ».
