عن أُبيّ بن كعب قال: الصلاة في الثوب الواحد سنة، كنا نفعله مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ولا يعاب علينا. فقال ابن مسعود: إنما كان ذاك إذ كان في الثياب قلة، فأما إذ وسع الله فالصلاة في الثوبين أزكى.

Explanation
قال أُبي بن كعب رضي الله عنه: الصلاة في الثوب الواحد سنة، كنا نصلي في الثوب الواحد مع رسول الله صلى الله عله وسلم، فلا يعيب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم فعلنا، فقوله سنة، وكنا نفعله مع النبي عليه الصلاة والسلام يأخذ حكم الرفع، فقال ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه: إنما كان ذلك لما كانت الثياب قليلة، فأما إذا صارت هناك سعة، وكثُرت الثياب فالصلاة في الثوبين أفضل وأزكى، أي أحسن، لكيلا لا تظهر العورات وغير ذلك.
