The evening azkar include Surat al-Falaq, one of the two chapters of refuge by which a Muslim seeks protection from every evil that comes at night. It seeks refuge specifically from the evil of darkness when it settles and from sorcery and envy, making it fitting for the evening as night draws in with its darkness.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيم قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ، مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ، وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ، وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ.

Bismi Allahi Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem qul 'a'oodhu birabbi lfalaqi، min sharri maa khalaqa، wamin sharri ghaasiqin 'iidhaa waqaba، wamin sharri lnnaffaathaati fia l'uqadi، wamin sharri haasidin 'iidhaa hasada.

Meaning

Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak, from the evil of what He has created, from the evil of darkness when it settles, from the evil of those who blow on knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies.

Recite it three times in the evening as part of the evening azkar, paired with Surat al-Ikhlas and an-Nas. It is also recommended before sleep to seek protection from the evils of the night.
