Kaffarat al Majlis

Kaffarat al-Majlis (the expiation of the gathering) is a comprehensive prophetic supplication said at the close of a sitting or gathering. It is reported to wipe away any idle talk or slips that occurred during that gathering, making it one of the miscellaneous azkar the Prophet ﷺ recommended to purify the heart and tongue after any meeting.

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ.

Subhanaka allahumma wa bihamdik, ashhadu an la ilaha illa ant, astaghfiruka wa atoobu ilayk.

كفارة المجلس، قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: من جلس في مجلس فكثُر فيه لغطه فقال قبل أن يقوم من مجلسه ذلك، إلا غُفر له ما كان في مجلسه ذلك.
