By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, there is nobody of this Ummah (community), whether they be Jewish or Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in what I was sent with except that he will be among the people of Hellfire
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By the One in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, there is nobody of this Ummah (community), whether they be Jewish or Christian, who hears of me and then dies without believing in what I was sent with except that he will be among the people of Hellfire."
Everyone of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those who refuse
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Everyone of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those who refuse." They said: "And who would refuse, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "He who obeys me will enter Paradise, and who disobeys me has refused."
We said: You are our master. He said: "The Master is Allah." We said: And the best of us in superiority and the greatest among us in bounty. He said: "Say what you have to say, or part of what you have to say, but do not let the devil deviate you (in praising me)
‘Abdullah ibn ash-Shikhkhīr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I set out with the delegation of Banu ‘Āmir to meet the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). We said: You are our master. He said: "The Master is Allah." We said: And the best of us in superiority and the greatest among us in bounty. He said: "Say what you have to say, or part of what you have to say, but do not let the devil deviate you (in praising me)."
Raise your head, say and you will be heard, ask and you will be given, intercede and your intercession will be fulfilled
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said that "he will come (to his Lord), prostrate before Him, and praise Him [he will not start with intercession first]. It will then be said to him: "Raise your head, say and you will be heard, ask and you will be given, intercede and your intercession will be fulfilled."
I was granted five that none before me was granted
Jābir ibn ‘Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was granted five that none before me was granted: I was granted victory through terror from a distance of one month's journey; the earth has been made for me a mosque and a means of purification, so any man from my Ummah who is caught up by the prayer should pray; the spoils of war have been made lawful for me, although they were not lawful for anyone before me; I have been granted the intercession; and a prophet used to be sent to his people in specific, whereas I have been sent to all people."
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) died when my house was void of any edible thing except for a small quantity of barley I had on a shelf and from which I kept eating it for a long time. Then when I measured what was left of it, it soon finished

By the One in Whose Hand my soul is, the son of Mary will soon descend among you as a just judge. He will break the cross, kill the pig, and abolish Jizyah (protection tax imposed on non-Muslims living under Muslim rule), and the wealth will be abundant to such an extent that no one will accept it

I am Dimām ibn Tha‘labah, from the brothers of Banu Sa‘d ibn Bakr
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: While we were sitting with the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) in the mosque, a man came riding on a camel. He made his camel kneel in the mosque, tied its foreleg, and said: "Who amongst you is Muhammad?" At that time, the Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting amongst us, leaning on his arm. We replied: "This white man reclining on his arm." The man then addressed him: "O son of ‘Abdul-Muttalib!" The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I am here to answer you." The man said to the Prophet: "I want to ask you something and will be hard in questioning. So do not get angry." The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Ask whatever you want." The man said: "I ask you by your Lord, and the Lord of those who came before you. Has Allah sent you as a messenger to all mankind?" The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "By Allah, yes." The man further said: "I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to offer five prayers in a day and night?" He replied: "By Allah, yes." The man further said: "I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to observe fasts during this month of the year?" He replied: "By Allah, yes." The man said: "I ask you by Allah. Has Allah ordered you to take this charity from our rich people and distribute it amongst our poor people?" The Prophet (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "By Allah, yes." Thereupon, that man said: "I have believed in all that you have been sent with, and I have been sent by my people as a messenger. I am Dimām ibn Tha‘labah, from the brothers of Banu Sa‘d ibn Bakr."
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) received divine revelation at the age of forty
Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) received divine revelation at the age of forty. He spent 13 years in Makkah. Then, he was commanded to immigrate, and he immigrated to Madīnah, where he stayed for 10 years. Then, he (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) passed away.
Write down; for by the One in Whose Hand my soul is, nothing comes out of it except the truth
‘Abdullāh ibn ‘Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: I used to write down everything I heard from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) in order to memorize it. The Quraysh prohibited me, saying: "Do you write down everything that you hear from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) is a human being who speaks in anger and pleasure?" So, I stopped writing and mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). Thereupon, he pointed his finger to his mouth and said: "Write down; for by the One in Whose Hand my soul is, nothing comes out of it except the truth."
On the Night of Isrā', two cups were brought to the Prophet, (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him)
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Two cups of wine and milk were presented to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) on the Night of Isrā' (the night journey to the Aqsa Mosque). He looked at them and took the milk. Jibrīl said: "Praise be to Allah, Who guided you to the Fitrah. Had you taken the wine, your Ummah would have gone astray.”
Allah selected Kinānah from the children of Isma‘īl, Quraysh from Kinānah, the children of Hāshim from Quraysh, and me from the children of Hāshim. So I am the master of the children of Adam, without pride. And I am the first for which the earth will be split open, and I am the first intercessor, and the first to be granted intercession
Wāthilah ibn al-Asqa‘ (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah selected Kinānah from the children of Isma‘īl, Quraysh from Kinānah, the children of Hāshim from Quraysh, and me from the children of Hāshim. So I am the master of the children of Adam, without pride. And I am the first for which the earth will be split open, and I am the first intercessor, and the first to be granted intercession."
I have five names. I am Muhammad. I am Ahmad. I am Al-Māhi (the effacer), by whom Allah effaces disbelief. I am Al-Hāshir (the gatherer), at whose feet people will be gathered. I am Al-‘Āqib (the last)
Jubayr ibn Mut‘im (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have five names. I am Muhammad. I am Ahmad. I am Al-Māhi (the effacer), by whom Allah effaces disbelief. I am Al-Hāshir (the gatherer), at whose feet people will be gathered. I am Al-‘Vqib (the last)."
The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) called himself with many names, and we memorized some of them. He said: I am Muhammad, Ahmad, Al-Muqaffi, Al-Hāshir, and the Prophet of Mercy
Abu Mūsa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) called himself with many names, and we memorized some of them. He said: "I am Muhammad, Ahmad, Al-Muqaffi, Al-Hāshir, and the Prophet of Mercy." Yazīd added: "The Prophet of Repentance and Nabyy al-Malhamah."
من أشد أمتي لي حبًا ناس يكونون بعدي يود أحدهم لو رآني بأهله وماله
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مِنْ أَشَدِّ أُمَّتِي لِي حُبًّا نَاسٌ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِي، يَوَدُّ أَحَدُهُمْ لَوْ رَآنِي بِأَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ».
Indeed, I am the most God-fearing among you and the most knowledgeable of Allah
‘Ā’ishah, the Mother of the Believers (may Allah be pleased with her), reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) instructed his Companions to do something, he would command them only with what they were able to bear. They said: O Messenger of Allah, we are not like you; Allah has forgiven your past and future sins. He would then become angry until his anger would be visible on his face, and say: "Indeed, I am the most God-fearing among you and the most knowledgeable of Allah."
There was no prophet among the prophets except that he was given miracles through which people believed in him
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "There was no prophet among the prophets except that he was given miracles through which people believed in him. But what I have been given is a revelation which Allah has revealed to me, and I hope to have the most followers among them on the Day of Judgment."
إنما مثلي ومثل ما بعثني الله به كمثل رجل أتى قومًا فقال: يا قوم، إني رأيت الجيش بعيني
عن أبي موسى عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إنما مَثَلي ومَثَل ما بعثني الله به كمَثَل رجلٍ أتى قومًا فقال: يا قوم، إني رأيت الجيش بعيني، وإني أنا النذير العُريان، فالنَّجاءَ، فأطاعه طائفة من قومه، فأدلجوا، فانطلقوا على مَهَلِهم فنَجَوا، وكذبت طائفة منهم، فأصبحوا مكانهم، فصبَّحهم الجيشُ فأهلكهم واجتاحهم، فذلك مثل من أطاعني فاتبع ما جئت به، ومثل من عصاني وكذب بما جئت به من الحق".
أنا خاتم النبيين
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "إن مَثَلي ومَثَل الأنبياء من قبلي كمثل رجلٍ بنى بيتًا، فأحسنه وأجمله، إلا موضع لَبِنَةٍ من زاويةٍ، فجعل الناس يطوفون به، ويعجبون له، ويقولون: هلا وضعت هذه اللبنة؟ قال: فأنا اللبنة، وأنا خاتم النبيين".
The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) called for water, and he was brought a wide shallow vessel with some water in it. He put his fingers in it
Anas ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: It was time for prayer. Those who were close to their homes went to their families (to perform ablution). Some people remained. The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) was brought a stone pot. It was too small for him to open his palm therein. All of the people made ablution.” They said: “How many of you were there?” He said: "Eighty and more.” Another narration reads: "The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) called for water, and he was brought a wide shallow vessel with some water in it. He put his fingers in it. Anas said: "I saw water flowing from between his fingers. I then counted those who performed ablution and found them between seventy and eighty."
A man from the Banu Zurayq, whose name was Labīd ibn al-A‘sam, performed magic on the Messenger and he began to imagine that he had done something that he had not done
‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: A man from the Banu Zurayq, whose name was Labīd ibn al-A‘sam, performed magic on the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and he began to imagine that he had done something that he had not. One day, while he was with me, he supplicated to Allah, the Almighty, and he supplicated for a prolonged period and then said: ‘O ‘Ā'ishah, do you know that Allah has told me regarding the matter I asked Him about? Two men came to me, one of them sat near my head and the other sat near my feet. One of them asked his companion: “What is wrong with this man?” The other replied: “'He is under a magic spell.” The first one asked: “Who performed magic on him?” The other replied: “Labīd ibn al-A‘sam.” The first one asked: “What did he do it with?” The other replied: “With a comb and the hair stuck in it, and the skin of a male date palm pollen.” The first one asked: “Where is it?” The other replied: “In the well of Dharwān.”’ The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) went with some of his Companions to the well. He returned to me and said: ‘O ‘Ā'ishah, by Allah, the water in that well was (red) like a Henna leaf infusion, and the date palms were like the heads of devils.’ I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, should you take (those things) out (of the pollen skin)?’ He said: ‘No. Allah has healed me, and I was afraid that I would spread evil among the people.’ He then ordered the well be filled with earth, and it was filled with earth.”
Abu Jumu‘ah al-Ansāri once came to us and said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and we were ten, including Mu‘ādh ibn Jabal. We said: 'O Messenger of Allah, is there anyone who will acquire greater rewards than ours?'"
Ibn Jubayr reported: Abu Jumu‘ah al-Ansāri once came to us and said: "We were with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and we were ten, including Mu‘ādh ibn Jabal. We said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is there anyone who will acquire greater rewards than ours? We believed in you and followed you.’ He said: ‘What prevents you from doing so, while the Messenger of Allah is among you, bringing you the revelation from heaven? There are people who will come after you and who will be given a book between two covers (the Qur’an), and they will believe in it and implement its commands. They have a greater reward than yours.'"
What made you come, Abu Hidhyam?
Hanzhalah ibn Hidhyam reported that his grandfather Haneefah said to Hidhyam: "Gather my children for me, because I want to leave a testament." When they were gathered, he said: "The first thing I bequeath is that this orphan of mine who is in my custody is entitled to one hundred camels, which were called Al-Mutayyabah (the good favored ones) in pre-Islamic times.'' Hidhyam said: "O my father, I heard your children say: 'We will approve of this during our father's life, but when he dies, we will recant it.'" He said: "So let the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) judge between me and you." Hidhyam said: "We accept that." So Hidhyam, Haneefah, and Hanzhalah along with a young boy who escorted Hidhyam set forth. When they came to the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) they greeted him. The Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him): "What made you come, Abu Hidhyam?" He replied, having struck Hidhyam on the thigh: "I fear that old age or death will overtake me, so I wanted to make a bequest. I therefore said: 'The first thing I bequeath is that this orphan of mine who is in my custody is entitled to one hundred camels, which were called Al-Mutayyibah in pre-Islamic times.'" The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) became so angry that we saw anger in his face. He was sitting, but he knelt down and said: "No, no, no! A charity should consist of five camels, or else ten, or else fifteen, or else twenty, or else twenty-five, or else thirty, or else thirty-five, or of a maximum of forty." They fared him well, and the orphan had a stick with him with which he was beating a camel. So the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) noted: "That is a too big a stick for an orphan." Hanzhalah said: "My father drew me closer to the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him and said: 'I have sons with beards, and others younger than them, and this one is the youngest. So pray for him.'" Therefore, he wiped his head and said: "May Allah bless you," or: "May he be blessed." Dhayyāl said: "I have seen Hanzhalah, and a man with a swollen face or a beast with a swollen udder would be brought to him. He would spit on his hands and say "Bismillāh" (in the name of Allah); put his hand on his head, where the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) had placed his hand; and then wipe [the affected part] with it." Dhayyāl said: "The tumor would disappear."
أرسل إلي أن اقرأ القرآن على حرف
عن أبي بن كعب قال: كنت في المسجد، فدخل رجل يصلي، فقرأ قراءة أنكرتها عليه، ثم دخل آخر فقرأ قراءة سوى قراءة صاحبه، فلما قضينا الصلاة دخلنا جميعا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقلت: إن هذا قرأ قراءة أنكرتها عليه، ودخل آخر فقرأ سوى قراءة صاحبه، فأمرهما رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقرآ، فحسن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم شأنهما، فسقط في نفسي من التكذيب، ولا إذ كنت في الجاهلية، فلما رأى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ما قد غشيني، ضرب في صدري، ففضت عرقا وكأنما أنظر إلى الله عز وجل فرقا، فقال لي: "يا أبي أرسل إلي أن اقرأ القرآن على حرف، فرددت إليه أن هون على أمتي، فرد إلي الثانية اقرأه على حرفين، فرددت إليه أن هون على أمتي، فرد إلي الثالثة اقرأه على سبعة أحرف، فلك بكل ردة رددتكها مسألة تسألنيها، فقلت: اللهم اغفر لأمتي، اللهم اغفر لأمتي، وأخرت الثالثة ليوم يرغب إلي الخلق كلهم، حتى إبراهيم صلى الله عليه وسلم".
أصلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيت المقدس؟
عن زِرِّ بن حُبَيش قال: قلتُ لحذيفة بن اليمان: أَصَلَّى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في بيت المقدس؟ قال: لا. قلت: بلى. قال: أنت تقول ذاك يا أصلع، بم تقول ذلك؟ قلت: بالقرآن، بيني وبينك القرآن. فقال حذيفة: مَن احتج بالقرآن فقد أفلح. -قال سفيان: يقول فقد احتج، وربما قال: قد فلج- فقال: {سبحان الذي أسرى بعبده ليلًا من المسجد الحرام إلى المسجد الأقصى}. قال: أَفَتَرَاه صلى فيه؟ قلت: لا. قال: لو صلى فيه لكُتب عليكم فيه الصلاة كما كُتبت الصلاة في المسجد الحرام. قال حذيفة: قد أتي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بدابَّة طويلة الظَّهر ممدودة هكذا، خطوه مَدُّ بصره، فما زايلا ظهر البُرَاق حتى رأيا الجنة والنار ووَعْدَ الآخرة أجمعَ، ثم رجعا عَودَهما على بِدئهما. قال: ويتحدثون أنه ربطه، لم؟ لِيَفِرَّ منه، وإنما سخَّره له عالم الغيب والشهادة.
آذنت بهم شجرة
عن معن بن عبد الرحمن قال: سمعت أبي قال: سألتُ مسروقًا: من آذَنَ النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالجن ليلة استمعوا القرآن؟ فقال: حدثني أبوك يعني عبد الله أنه آذنت بهم شجرة.
بُعِثْتُ من خير قرون بني آدم، قرنًا فقرنًا، حتى كنت من القرن الذي كنت فيه
عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «بُعِثْتُ من خيرِ قرونِ بني آدم، قرنًا فقرنًا، حتى كنتُ من القرن الذي كنتُ فيه».
يا رسول الله، أحدٌ خيرٌ منا، أسلمنا معك، وجاهدنا معك؟
عن ابن مُحَيريز قال: قلت لأبي جمعة -رجل من الصحابة-: حدِّثنا حديثًا سمعته من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. قال: نعم، أحدثكم حديثًا جيِّدًا، تَغدَّينا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ومعنا أبو عبيدة بن الجراح، فقال: يا رسول الله، أحد خير منا، أسلمنا معك، وجاهدنا معك؟ قال: "نعم، قوم يكونون من بعدكم يؤمنون بي ولم يروني".
