Explanation
قال عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه: ما زلنا عزيزين قويين في الدين منذ أن أسلم عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنه، وذلك لشدته وقوته، فكان قبل أن يسلم شديدًا على المسلمين، وبعد أن دخل في الإسلام صارت شدته على الكافرين، وقد دعا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: اللهم أعز الإسلام بأحب الرجلين إليك بأبي جهل أو بعمر، رواه الترمذي، فكان أحبهما إلى الله عز وجل عمر، ولم يستطع الصحابة أن يُصلُّوا حول الكعبة ظاهرين حتى أسلم عمر رضي الله عنه.
