قد عفوتُ عن الخيل والرقيق، فهاتوا صدقة الرِّقَةِ
عن علي قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "قد عفوتُ عن الخيل والرقيق، فهاتوا صدقة الرِّقَةِ، من كل أربعين درهمًا درهمًا، وليس في تسعين ومائة شيء، فإذا بلغت مائتين ففيها خمسة دراهم".
No Zakah is to be paid by the Muslim on his slave or horse
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No Zakah is to be paid by the Muslim on his slave or horse." Another wording: "Except Zakat al-Fitr that is to be paid on one's slave.”
إن الصدقة على المسكين صدقة، وعلى ذي الرحم اثنتان صدقة وصلة
عن سلمان بن عامر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: «إن الصدقة على المسكين صدقةٌ، وعلى ذي الرَّحِمِ اثنتان: صدقةٌ وصِلَةٌ».
إن رب هذه الصدقة يأكل الحشف يوم القيامة
عن عوف بن مالك قال: دخل علينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم المسجد، وبيده عصا، وقد علق رجل قِنًا حَشَفًا، فطعن بالعصا في ذلك القِنْو، وقال: "لو شاء رب هذه الصدقة تصدق بأطيب منها" وقال: "إن رب هذه الصدقة يأكل الحشف يوم القيامة".
O ‘Umar, do you not know that a man’s uncle is like his father?
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) sent ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to collect the charity. It was said that Ibn Jamīl, Khālid ibn al-Walīd, and Al-‘Abbās, the Prophet's uncle withheld it. Thereupon, the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How come that Ibn Jameīl withheld it; was he not poor then made rich by Allah?" As for Khālid, you are doing him injustice for he devoted his armor and war gear to the cause of Allah. As for Al-‘Abbās, the charity due on him and the like of it are upon me." Then he said: "O ‘Umar, do you not know that a man’s uncle is like his father?"
أرضوا مُصَدِّقِيكُم
عن جرير بن عبد الله قال: جاء ناس من الأعراب إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فقالوا: إن ناسًا من المُصَدِّقِينَ يأتوننا فيظلموننا، قال: فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: «أرضوا مُصَدِّقِيكُم» قال جرير: ما صدر عني مصدق منذ سمعت هذا من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا وهو عني راض.
